Soltilo Bright Stars beats Kitara to earn maiden victory of the season

Soltilo Bright Stars got off the mark with a slender 1-0 victory over struggling Kitara FC. The Kavumba based side had not registered any victories before today which also cost Harold Mutyaba his job .

Captain Nelson Ssenkatuka scored for Soltilo Bright Stars in the 34th minute and his strike was enough to condemn Kitara FC to their sixth defeat of the season.

Ssenkatuka tapped in Paskali Oketcho’s low cross scoring his first goal of the season.

Ian Mutanda was the man at the helms of Soltilo Bright Stars, he took over on interim basis after the departure of Joseph Mutyaba.

Victory takes Soltilo Bright Stars to five points from eight games and they move a position above the relegation zone.

They next host Maroons FC at Kavumba Recreation grounds on Thursday 21st November.

Kitara FC remain on four points from the same number games. They occupy the 15th position on the table of 16.

The Royals’ next opponent is UPDF FC on Friday 22nd November at The Royals Park in Hoima
