Uganda will host the forthcoming CECAFA AFCON U-17 Zonal Qualifiers from 14th December to 28th December this year.
Vipers SC stadium St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende and Hamz Stadium Nakivubo have been confirmed as the host venues for the tournament.
Uganda are pitted in Group A alongside Tanzania, Ethiopia and Burundi.
Group B has defending champions Somalia, South Sudan and Kenya.
Uganda is under the stewardship of Brian Ssenyondo with Ronald Ssali as his immediate assistant while Kenneth Magada is the goalkeeping coach.
Simeon Massa is the fitness coach while Denis Kizito alias Deman Denol is the trainer.
The team began training at Njeru Technical Center this week.
The top two teams will progress to the AFCON U-17 Final tournament to be hosted in Ivory Coast next year.
