UPDF aim to take full home advantage as struggling Mbale Heroes visit

On Wednesday 11th-December UPDF FC will host struggling Mbale Heroes at Bombo Military Barracks grounds.

The Army side are fresh from defeating BUL FC 2-0 in their previous game at Lugazi FC Stadium hence registering their maiden away win of the season.

Brian Kalumba and Christopher Kawagu scored the two goals for the Army men against BUL FC. They are in fifth position with 16 points from 11 games.

Mbale Heroes suffered a humiliating 6-0 defeat in Butema and occupy the 15 position on the table of 16 with eight points.

Asaph Mwebaze’s side has played six games away and they managed to collect only one point against Lugazi FC.

They lost to Express, Wakiso Giants, Police FC, Mbarara City FC and previously Kitara.

Despite anticipating a tough tie against his opponents, Paul Kiwanuka the head coach believes his boys will fight for the maximum points,

“Our opponents tomorrow are badly off so they badly need all three points but I believe my boys will fight hard for the three points we want a better position.”

UPDF FC will only miss out on the services due to an injury, the rest of the players are available for selection.
