Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Joseph Put has summoned a provisional squad of 26 players to prepare for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 Qualifier matches against Burundi.
Uganda will lock horns with Burundi in a two-legged affair on 26th and 29th December 2024 with both games slated to take place at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
Kitara FC forward Denis Omedi is not part of the provisional squad but his teammate Jude Ssemugabi is in the summoned squad.
SC Villa Captain Ronald Ssekiganda and his teammate Charles Lwanga who has been in fine form with eight goals so far this season both miss out. There teammates Patrick Jonah Kakande and Hakim Kiwanuka have been named in the squad to prepare for the game against Burundi.
The team will have a non residential training on 21st December before entering camp at Nob View Hotel for the two games.
The final tournament is expected to take place between 1st – 28th February 2025 with Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania hosting the event.
