Former Vipers SC Serbian coach Nikola Kavazovic is the newly appointed head coach of Botswana Premier League side Sua Flamingoes FC.

Kavazovic signed a two year employment contract with Sua Flamingoes and officially started off his coaching duties on Saturday.

The 49 year old tactician was relieved of his duties at Vipers in October after only four months following a string of unconvincing results with the club.

This is Kavazovic’s second stint with Sua Flamingoes having previously coached the club in 2022 and guided them to a respectable 8th place finish.

He has also previously coached Botswana giants Township Rollers and Jwaneng Galaxy, South Africa’s Free State Stars, AFC Leopards (Kenya) and Ethiopian Bunna FC.

Kavazovic also had coaching stints in Tajikistan, Laos, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Slovakia and his native country Serbia.

Sua Flamingoes are currently 6th on the league table with 17 points after 11 games played.

After a humbling 4-0 defeat to Gaborone United last Saturday, Kavazovic will guide Flamingoes against Jwaneng Galaxy in the next game on Saturday 21st December.
