Omedi was a transfer target for a number of clubs notably Vipers SC and Singapore’s DPMM FC, as earlier reported by this website.
Omedi garnered more attention after his double nomination for the Goal of the Year in the 2024 FIFA and CAF Awards.
Both Omedi and Kiwanuka were named in Paul Put’s Uganda Cranes provisional squad for the upcoming CHAN tournament.
The duo has joined midfielder Tadeo Lwanga who is the other Uganda Cranes player at APR FC.
