Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Joseph Put has added URA FC Striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe summoned to the Provisional CHAN Squad.
Ahimbisibwe who has nine league goals this term will link up with the squad for Saturday’s training at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
His addition brings the number of summoned players to 38 for the non residential camp that will be reduced to 26 players on Monday.
Vipers SC forward Milton Karisa will miss CHAN due to injury while Denis Omedi and Hakim Kiwanuka who joined Rwanda’s APR from Kitara FC and SC Villa respectively will also not take part in the competition.
On Thursday, KCCA FC winger Usama Arafat was added to the team to prepare for the forthcoming tournament that will be hosted in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania next month.
The CHAN tournament will kickoff on 1st February to 28th of the same month while the draw for the event will be held on 15th January in Kenya.
