Seeta United Vs SC Villa Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64 tie Postponed

The Stanbic Uganda  Cup round of 64 tie between Seeta United and SC Villa that was to be held on Sunday, 12th January has been postponed.

Seeta was due to host the nine competition winners at Seeta Ground but the game has been called off since SC Villa has four players on the national team preparing for the forthcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.

Ronald Ssekiganda, Charles Lwanga, Patrick Jonah Kakande and Arnold Odong are the four SC Villa players on the Uganda Cranes team that was summoned by Paul Joseph Put.

“The Stanbic Uganda Cup match between Seeta United and SC Villa has been postponed.
SC Villa has 4 players engaged with the National team and according to the rules, the fixture could not go on. Apologies for any inconveniences caused.” Read a brief statement from SC Villa

Meanwhile the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 will kickoff on Friday with last year’s runners up NEC FC travelling to Mbale’s UCU in a contest to be held at Mbale City Stadium while Tepa FC will entertain three time competition winners Vipers SC at St. Aloysius Core PTC, Ngora. The other game will be between Pakwech Youngsters and Kigezi Homeboyz at St.Mary’s Omach Ground.
