Indian Women’s League club Kickstart Karnataka FC is set to complete the signing of Ugandan striker Joanita Ainembabazi.
Ainembabazi is currently unattached having parted ways with Tanzania’s Simba Queens at the end of the previous season.
She is set to become the fourth Ugandan player in the Indian Women’s League this season.
Fazila Ikwaput, Resty Nanziri and Aminah Nababi are the other Crested Cranes forwards plying their trade in India.
Ikwaput features for Gokulam Kerala while Nanziri and Nababi play for East Bengal and Sethu FC respectively.
As a player, Ainembabazi has previously turned out for Tooro Queens, Rines WFC, She Corporate and Tanzania’s Ceasiaa Queens.
She was part of the Crested Cranes squad that represented Uganda at the 2022 Women’s AFCON in Morocco.
