Kawempe Muslim SS will be aiming to defend their Girls Football title when they face off with Nkoma SS in the final as the UMEA Games climax on Monday at Namagabi SS in Kayunga.
To reach the final, Nkoma Secondary School eliminated Masaka Secondary School in the semi-final.
Kawempe Muslim A beat Kawempe Muslim B 3-0 in the semi-final courtesy of a brace from Agnes Nabukenya and Dorcus Kisakye scored the other goal.
Kawempe Muslim will be renewing acquaintances with Nkoma SS having previously faced off in Group A of the competition with Kawempe winning the contest 3-2.
Kawempe Muslim are the reigning champions having won last year’s title with a 2-0 win in the final against Masaka SS thanks to Nabukenya’s brace.
Earlier on, Kawempe Muslim B will face off with Masaka SS in the third place playoff at 9:30 am at the Ssaza Ground.
This year’s edition attracted seven teams in Girls Football which also include Kinaawa High School, Mugongo Campus, Bukoyo SS from Iganga and Kigumba Secondary School from Kigumba.
