St.Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende has appointed Hassan Zungu as their new head coach.
Zungu replaces Daniel Male who has been serving in the capacity before he was elevated to Vipers SC technical team.
Zungu is remembered for guiding Gaddafi FC to the Uganda Premier league in 2021 when his side beat Proline FC 2-0 in the playoffs final.
He has also previously served as Busoga Province head coach in the prestigious FUFA Drum and was Petros Koukouras assistant at Kiyovu in Rwanda.
St Mary’s Kitende is owned by former FUFA President Dr Lawrence Mulindwa and have won the National Boys Football title a record 11 times in 2023, 2022, 2019, 2015, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2008, 2007, 2006 and 2004.
Kitende have also won the boys’ football Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) Game title a record 15 times. Last year they lost to Amus College 1-0 in the final.
