Former SC Villa striker joins Police FC

Uganda Premier league side Police FC have completed the signing of experienced striker Umar Kasumba, Swift Sports Uganda can exclusively confirm.

Kasumba has put pen to paper on a six month contract with the Cops who are expected to lose their top scorer Isaac Ogwang to Vipers SC.

The experienced striker is expected to fill the void during the second round. Kasumba has previously featured for Police FC before moving to Kenya and Zambia for greener pastures.

Besides Police FC, Kasumba has played for SC Villa in Uganda, Sofapaka (Kenya), Zesco (Zambia) and Bandari in Kenya.

Kasumba has been a free agent since the end of the previous season when his contract with Kenya’s Bandari FC expired.

Police FC have already beefed up their squad with the acquisition of former KCCA FC forward Emmanuel Loki.

They have also lost defenders Denis Iguma and Martin Owalamu to Tusker and Mbarara City respectively.

Mugerwa’s charges finished the first round 10th on the Uganda Premier league table with 18 points in 15 games.
