Kalanzi penalty gives Lugazi edge over Police

Abdul Kalanzi’s converted a second half penalty to give Lugazi FC a 1-0 victory over Police FC at Lugazi FC Stadium.

Both sides played to a barren first half with neither creating serious opportunities that could result into goal.

At the start of the second half, Stephen Bogere made two changes with Sam Ssemugugu and Emmanuel Obua being replaced by debutant Jumah Lutakome and Alvin Birungi.

Kalanzi scored from the spot in the 70th minute after Gabriel Eragu putting down Freedom Munguti in the forbidden area.

Victory takes Lugazi FC to 17 points one behind Police FC.

Lugazi FC ate tied on 17 points with UPDF FC that plays Kitara FC tomorrow at Bombo Military Barracks grounds.

They next visit relegation threatened Wakiso Giants on Sunday 16th-Feb at Kabaka Kyabaggu grounds in Wakiso.

On the same day Police FC will host NEC FC at Kavumba Recreation grounds.
