Both sides target second win against each other as Lugazi FC hosts Police FC on Wednesday 12th-February at Lugazi FC Stadium.
The most recently meeting did not produce any goal and ended in a goalless draw.
The two sides have met five times each has won once and the other three have ended in stalemates.
Lugazi FC was one of the busiest side in the recently concluded January transfer window, they managed to bring in defender Joseph Othieno, Shafik Avemah, Hussein Senoga, Norman Lumumba Eluzai and Juma Lutakome as well awarding Alvin Birungi and Abdul Kalanzi new contracts.
Lugazi FC coach Gerald Efeti believes they have had enough time for the new players to perfectly fit in their system and confident victory,
“We have trained so well during the break and tried to have friendly games so that we can access the new signings.”
“The first round scoring was one of our challenges but we have worked on that I am confident of victory from this encounter.”
In the absence of Isaac Ogwanga who left the Cops , they signed Umar Kasumba and Emmanuel Loki.
Simon Peter Mugerwa has a lot of confidence in his new signings.
“After analysing the first round we realised we didn’t score as we expected so we have worked on the offensive part so we still focus on getting the best results and performing better.”
“Kasumba and Loki are going to be so instrumental on our attacking side.”
Lugazi is 12th on the table with 14 points while their visitors Police FC are tenth with 18 points.
