Uganda National women’s senior team (Crested Cranes) head coach Sheryl Botes has named the travelling team to face Ethiopia in the second leg of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
Botes has named 20 players for the crucial game due on Wednesday, 26th February 2025 at Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa.
Goalkeeper Ruth Aturo who reportedly picked a knock, is the most notable exclusion with Daisy Nakaziro expected to start in the second leg.
Uganda won the first leg meeting 2-0 courtesy of Zaina Namuleme and Fazila Ikwaput goals on Friday at Nakivubo Stadium.
The team flies out on Sunday afternoon at midday aboard Ethiopian Airlines
The winner on aggregate will face either Tanzania or Equatorial Guinea in the second and final qualification round.
The Crested Cranes are aiming at making a return to the WAFCON finals for the first time since 2022.
