Uganda Cricket Association gets New Leadership

Jackson Kavuma has been elected as the new chairman of the Uganda Cricket Association for the next two years.

Kavuma was voted new UCA chairman at the elective General Assembly held at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo on Saturday, 1st March 2025.

Outgoing Chairman Michael Nuwagaba chaired the AGM that had eight UCA member clubs Kampala Institute CC, Tornado B CC, Tornado CC, JACC, Nile CC, Wanderers CC and Premier CC.

Kavuma who was serving as the Honorary Secretary beat Tornado’s Fred Lutaaya to become the new chairman. He grabbed 10 votes while Lutaaya managed four.

Denis Musali who has been the Association’s Communications manager is the new Honorary Secretary after beating Tornado B’s Jeremy Kibuuka Musoke.

Musali garnered 11 votes with Kibuuka registering 5 votes.

Lillian Namaganda is the Women’s Representative after going unopposed. The new executive will officially take over on Monday and will serve for the next two years.
