Buganda Kingdom will this year stage the inaugural Buganda Sports Awards Gala to recognize the best sports personalities in various sports disciplines organized by the kingdom.
According to the calendar activity from the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts led by Owek. Robert Sserwanga the maiden Buganda Sports Awards Gala will be held on 7th December, 2024.
This will be done annually at official dinner that will be organized to award the outstanding sports persons, clans, counties.
Outstanding performers from Bika Netball, Bika Football, Masaza Cup, Boxing, Volleyball, Royal Regetta, Mweso Competition, Golf, Nkuyo among others will be rewarded at the awards Gala.
The Kingdom will also recognise journalists, individuals and institutions that have supported the ministry’s programs based on combined performance across the various sports activities of the year.
