The Soroti Cricket Academy is proud to celebrate a significant milestone 10 years of empowering young girls and boys through cricket, education, and community development. Since its inception, the Academy has transformed the lives of over 1,800 beneficiaries, creating a platform where they can pursue their dreams, develop their talents, and learn valuable life skills.
‘We’ve stayed true to our vision to create empowered youth with the ability to discover and fulfil their potential, We have done this through sports, education, and mentorship,” said Felix Musana, Chairman of Soroti Cricket Academy.
The Academy’s 10th anniversary celebration brings together parents, stakeholders, partners, and the community to honor a decade of growth, resilience, and commitment to youth empowerment.
This journey, which began with just four children, has blossomed into a thriving program with a focus on holistic development, emphasizing not only cricket skills but also educational advancement and social issue sensitization. ‘The academy is now proud to be associated with 3 Cricket grounds, 3 professional cricket clubs, a
partnership with 18 schools and impact on 1,800 direct beneficiaries. 25 of whom have represented the national cricket team and collectively won over 14 titles within the 10 years’ added Felix Musana to commemorate this milestone, the Soroti Cricket Academy will host 2 bespoke events.
10th Anniversary Dinner; Scheduled for December 20th, this dinner will celebrate the Academy’s key stakeholder, supporters, beneficiaries, partners and reward outstanding performers and players over the year.
Cricket Carnival: Taking place on December 21st, the carnival will feature fun-filled activities including cricket games, barbecue, music, performances by top DJs from.
Since 2013, Soroti Cricket Academy has served as a nurturing space for young people to learn, grow, and dream big.
Over the past decade, the Academy has worked to address critical social issues, including promoting gender equality and encouraging educational advancement among its beneficiaries alongside grassroot development in cricket.
The Academy is excited to share its strategic goals for the next phase of development, which
includes expanding its reach and capacity to impact 5,000 youth, enhancing partnerships, and increasing access to resources for young cricketers.
Felix Musana, The chairman of the SOROTI cricket academy expressed gratitude to all past and present partners and called for moral, financial and intellectual support towards the academy to create more impact and more youth empowerment.
Founded in 2014, The Soroti Cricket Academy is dedicated to promoting cricket as a tool for social change in Uganda.
The Academy focuses on youth development through sports, education, and social engagement, providing a supportive environment for young boys and girls to realize their potential both on and off the field.
