The Buganda Kingdom Minister for Youth, Sports and Art Owek.Robert Serwanga has urged all stake holders to fully support the upcoming Buganda Schools Sports Competitions.
The remarks were made during a meeting held at Bulange Mengo with representatives from the 40 Secondary schools and 17 primary that will take part in the competitions that will kick off on 12th March at Bulange Mengo
“I kindly request all head teachers and directors to support all games teachers in this upcoming tournament. Who knows that one student/pupil you are stopping from taking part will shine and through him or her the school may achieve.”
“Let all of us play our roles perfectly well, I believe the competitions will be so successful, I am very confident the participating schools will perform well at the national level, Oweek.Robert Serwanga added.
The competitions will kick off on 12th with football but the official launch will be on 13th and they will climax on 16th March.
Mweso, netball, football, Handball, basketball and volley are the games to be played with Kawanda SS as the host.
