Italy based defender Elio Capradossi has joined the Uganda Cranes camp in Cairo, Egypt ahead of the World Cup Qualifiers against Mozambique and Guinea.

Capradossi was initially not named in Paul Put’s provisional squad for the upcoming games due to injury but his timely recovery has made him a late inclusion.

The AS Citadella defender was sidelined for three weeks due to a flexor injury before returning over the weekend though he was an unused substitute in the 2-1 defeat Sassuolo.

His return is a boost for Put who initially bemoaned his absence while announcing the squad on Monday 10th March.

25 players have so far reported in the camp with defender Timothy Awany and goalkeeper Isima Watenga expected as the final arrivals.

The Uganda Cranes will take on Mozambique on Thursday 20th March at the Cairo International Stadium before hosting Guinea on Tuesday 25th at Namboole.
