Kyaggwe target Simon Peter Mugerwa as their next head coach as preparations for the forthcoming Masaza Cup tournament kick start.

Swift Sports understands the confirmed committee has already held meetings with Mugerwa for a possible move.

In case the deal materializes, Mugerwa will replace David Mutono who made history by guiding Kyaggwe to their first ever Masaza Cup Final last year.

Last year Mugerwa was the head coach Ssingo, but also coached at Bulemeezi a side he helped clinch the 2019 Masaza Cup tournament.

In 2022 he also helped Busiro to their maiden Masaza Cup triumph beating Buddu in the final that was held at Wankulukuku.

Currently Mugerwa is the head coach for UPL side Police FC, he has previously worked with SC Villa and Soltilo Bright Stars.

Kyaggwe already confirmed Lugazi Municipality MP Steven Sserubula as their chairman.

Sserubula will have Jonathan Ntulume as his assistant while Shadrak Nsobya is also retained as the Technical Director.

Kyaggwe finished as runners up last year following their 1-0 defeat to Buddu in the final that was held at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
