Vipers SC will be seeking to continue with their Stanbic Uganda Cup expedition when they host FUFA Big League side Blacks Power under the floodlights of Kitende on Wednesday.
The Venoms will be without their key trio of talisman Allan Okello, Abdul Karim Watambala and Rogers Torach who are currently with the Uganda Cranes team in preparation for the forthcoming World Cup Qualifier matches against Mozambique and Guinea.
Without the trio, Vipers will look up experienced Moses Waiswa, Kenneth Kimera and Yunus Sentamu for inspiration.
Vipers beat Mbarara City 2-0 in the previous round thanks to Sentamu and Okello goals.
Blacks Power are to assess their star player Innocent Maduka who picked up an injury in their last training on Tuesday.
Maduka inspired the FUFA Big League entity to their ejection of last year’s runners NEC FC in the round of 32.
In the other games on Wednesday, URA FC will battle with Kataka FC at Nakivubo while UPDF FC are to face off with Kaaro Karungi at Kyamate playground.
Police FC, SC Villa, BUL FC, KCCA FC and holders Kitara FC have already progressed to the quarterfinals.
