NEC FC head coach Hussein Mbalangu believes there will be dropped points between now and the end of the season and remains optimistic after his side’s 3-1 win over Express FC.
Mbalangu’s charges closed the gap on leaders Vipers to two points to keep their title hopes alive.
The tactician expects, Vipers who are unbeaten since losing to NEC on match day to drop points at his former side and reigning league champions SC Villa on Saturday.
“We have reduced the margin, because Vipers were five points ahead of us now we have reduced it to two. You never know what will happen on Saturday and I know they will flop so the margin will be like that. At the time we meet them it will be two points and then we shall see how we reduce that to zero or to one.” Said Mbalangu
Vipers currently lead the Uganda Premier league table with 49 points and are the book markers’ favourites to win the title but Mbalangu and his NEC side cling to the hope that SC Villa can hurt the Venoms.
