Steven Dese Mukwala has been named as the NBC Tanzania Premier League Player of the Month for March.
The Uganda Cranes striker scored four goals and assisted one in the two league games he played last month.
Mukwala scored a hat trick in a 3-0 win over Coastal Union and scored and assisted once in the 6-1 thrashing of Dodoma Jiji.
Simba SC coach Fadlu Davids has also been named the coach of the month respectively.
The Player of the Month accolade comes three days after Mukwala played an integral role as Simba eliminated Al Masry in the CAF Confederation Cup to reach the semi finals.
He scored Simba’s second goal in the second leg and flawlessly scored a penalty in the post match shoot out.
Mukwala has scored nine league goals so far, three behind the joint-leading scorers Prince Dube (Yanga) and Simba’s Jean Ahoua.
