The Wakiso Zone Boys’ Football qualifiers climaxed on Tuesday at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium with St.Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende emerging victorious.

The Hassan Zungu coached side needed a 2-0 win over arch-rivals Buddo SS to clinch their fifth Wakiso Zone Boys’ football title.

Kitende along with three time Wakiso Zone champions Buddo will represent the region at the USSSA Nationals due in Ngora District next month.

They will be joined by Standard High School Zzana who finished third during the Wakiso Zone qualifiers after edging Greenlight Islamic 2-1 in the third place playoff match but both will represent the zone at national level.

Kyadondo SS managed by former KCCA FC, Police FC and Wakiso Giants midfielder Hakim Ssenkumba also secured a place at national level following their 3-0 thrashing of Madinah Islamic SS in the contest to determine the fifth placed school to represent Wakiso.

Junior Iniesta Odinga hat-trick was enough to seal a place for Ssenkumba’s side at the nationals due in Ngora.

Wakiso representatives at the Nationals will be St.Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende, Buddo SS, Standard High School Zzana, Greenlight and Kyadondo SS.
