FUFA to investigate chaotic Kitara Vs BUL FC game

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) will carry out investigations in the game between Kitara FC and BUL FC.

The two sides faced off on Sunday, 20th April at Butema Royal Park in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Quarterfinal contest with Kitara FC edging BUL 1-0 to reach the semis.

During the Match, referee Henry Musisi showed three reds. Kitara had Titus Ssematimba sent off while BUL FC duo of Jeromy Kirya and Nicholas Mwere were also shown marching orders.

BUL captain Walter Ochora was lucky to stay on the pitch after pushing referee Musisi to the ground.

Following the ugly incidents, FUFA has revealed that it will carry out investigations in regards to the match.

“The relevant bodies under the FUFA Judicial Commission have taken interest in the Uganda Cup Match #SUC59 Kitara FC vs BUL FC played on Sunday, 20th April 2025 at Royals Park stadium, Butema.”

“Investigations will be conducted and corrective measures applied in accordance with football statues and regulations if breaches by any party are found.” Read a statement from FUFA

The Stanbic Uganda Cup will resume on Monday with Vipers SC taking on SC Villa at Kitende while Police FC will entertain Kataka FC on Tuesday for a place in the semis.
