St.Mary’s Secondary School Kitende registered their first win at the ongoing CAF Africa Schools Football Championship with the 4-0 Shellacking of Algeria on Thursday in Ghana.
Nabir Kajjumba, Henry Muhoozi, Livingstone Kulata and Pius Kabenge ensured that Uganda’s representatives recovered from their 2-0 defeat to host nation Ghana.
Kajjumba gave Kitende the lead in the 12th minute before Muhoozi doubled their advantage six minutes later.
Hassan Zungu coached side finished the first period in a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Five minutes after the recess, Kulata extended their lead before Kabenge put the seal on maximum points with the fourth goal.
Kitende will finish their group stage campaign against South Africa in a game that will determine their progression to the semis.
