Legendary Marathoner Eliud Kipchoge will be among the top names to take part at the London Marathon on Sunday, 27th April.

The 40-year old however believes Ugandan long-distance runner Jacob Kiplimo has what it takes to take on any challenge.

Kiplimo smashed the world record for the half marathon in February and now attempts his first attempt at the full distance and has been hailed by the greatest Marathoner of all time.

“He’s capable of running anything. He has a good mind of trying to take on any challenge. Absolutely, yes. He can do it. The future is good.” Said Kipchoge

Kiplimo is a two time World Cross Country champion and has had his track career bring bronze medals in the 10,000m at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and the 2022 World Championships in Eugene.

Kipchoge is a four time London Marathon winner and became the first man in history to break the two-hour barrier in unofficial conditions in 2019.

The two time Olympic Marathon champion will not only compete with Kiplimo but there’s last year’s London winner Alexander Mutiso and Olympic champion Tamirat Tola, while Kenya’s Sabastian Sawe ran 2:02:05 on his marathon debut in Valencia in December.
