Relegation threatened Mbarara City FC have confirmed the departure of head coach Charles Livingston Mbabazi.
Mbabazi leaves Mbabazi City in the 13th position one position above Wakiso Giants in the 14th position.
They confirmed his departure through their official social media platforms,
“Mbarara City FC can confirm that a decision has been taken to relieve Charles Livingstone Mbabazi of his duties as the head coach”
“A caretaker to lead the Club for the remaining four games of the Startimes Uganda Premier League season will be announced later.”
“We’d like to thank Charles Livingstone Mbabazi for his passion and effort during his time as Mbarara City Head Coach and wish him the very best for his next steps in the game.”
Mbabazi rejoined Mbarara City for a third in May 2024.
The Ankole Lions next game is away from home against Wakiso Giants on Tuesday 6th May at Wakisha.
