Soltilo Bright Stars have become the second club to be relegated from the Uganda Premier League this season.
The club’s relegation was confirmed by a 1-0 defeat to UPDF FC at the Bombo Military Grounds while Mbarara City beat Wakiso Giants with the same scoreline at Kabaka Kyabaggu.
Joseph Janjali who played three solid seasons at Soltilo Bright Stars, scored the lone goal just after 50 seconds and ultimately relegated his former paymasters.
Bright Stars have had an abysmal season that has seen them garner only 16 points from 27 games played.
It should be remembered that Soltilo Bright Stars earned promotion to the topflight from the FUFA Big League in 2013.
They have joined Mbale Heroes who were also relegated last week, and will most likely be joined by Wakiso Giants who lost their six-pointer against Mbarara City.
