SC Villa seals double over Buhimba with dominant performance

SC Villa thrashed relegation threatened Buhimba United 4-0 during the Uganda Premier League on Saturday under the lights of FUFA Kadiba Stadium.

Birthday boy Patrick Jonah Kakande fired the Jogoos into an early lead after being fed by Frank Ssebuufu.

Najib Yiga doubled SC Villa’s lead who was also set up by Ssebuufu doubled Villa’s lead in the 25th minute.

Yiga completed his brace at the hour mark when he was assisted by Charles Lwanga who later put the seal on the scoreline.

The Jogoos cruised to maximum points also sealing a double over Buhimba United Saints whom they beat 3-0 in the first round.

Victory sees Villa move to 51 points, same as KCCA FC and Kitara FC who are all four points behind table leaders Vipers.

The Venoms can extend their grip at the summit with victory over Entebbe UPPC FC tomorrow at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

Buhimba United remain in the red zone with 15 points

Meanwhile, SC Villa next visit fellow title rivals Kitara FC while Buhimba United entertains Lugazi FC in the relegation battle.
