Kitende, Buddo cruise as Holders St Julian seal round of 32 berth

St.Mary’s Secondary School Kitende kicked off their 2025 USSSA Boys’ National football championship campaign on day two with a 4-0 win over Bugisu High School on Wednesday in Ngora District.

Santos Agok, Arafat Nkoola, Jahid Mwondha and Dennis Kisiriko scored the four goals for the Entebbe road based school.

Kitende are 11-time national football champions and will be seeking a record extending title under Hassan Zungu.

Meanwhile, Buddo SS overcame Chemwania High School 14-1 while Jinja Comprehensive School beat Lubongi Army Secondary School 5-0.

Holders St Julian secured a place in the round of 32 after a 2-1 win over Labira Girls SS in their second group stage game of the current campaign.

Last year’s finalists Amus College registered their first win overcoming Luwero Secondary Schools 1-0.

This year’s nationals for boys are in Ngora district, North East of the country and has attracted over 64 schools across the country.
