The Masaza Cup Organizing committee has revealed the venue that will host the opening game of the 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup tournament.
According to the committee, last year’s winners Buddu will have the privilege of hosting the opener with a yet to be confirmed opponent since the group stage draw has not been conducted. They beat Kyaggwe in 1-0 in the final that was held at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
The opening game will be played at Kitovu Sports Arena on 21st June, 2025.

The vice chairman of the organizing committee Festus Kirumira together with Buddu Management committee vice chairperson Sarah Kagolo inspected the venue for the opening game.
Buddu are three time competition winners following their triumphs in 2016, 2021 and most recently in 2024.
This term they will be under the stewardship of Eric Kisuze who guided Uganda Martyrs University to their third Pepsi University Football League title this year.
Simon Ddungu alias Dunga was the man who steered Buddu to last year’s triumph but this campaign he will be manage at record prestigious competition winners Gomba.
