The USSSA Boys’ National football championship resumed on Saturday with the round of 32 fixtures at various playgrounds.
Multiple competition winners St Mary’s Secondary School Kitende thrashed Camboni 3-0 while Masaka SS eliminated Kabalega SS 3-0 in the other round of 32 tie.
East African champions Amus College were eliminated from the competition by Greenlight Islamic SS 4-3 on penalties after a goalless stalemate in normal time.
Last year, Amus College reached the final before losing to eventual winners St Julian High School.
St Julian had their journey continue after beating hosts Ngora High 3-1 on penalties while Uganda Martyrs Lubaga overcame Standard High School 1-0.
Buddo SS humbled Bugisu High School 3-0 to reach the round of 16 while Kibuli SS cruised past Buziga Islamic 4-1.
Bukedea Comprehensive School managed by Ronald Ssali also reached the round of 16 stage after a 5-4 shootout win over Samson Caesar Okhuti’s MVRA in the round of 32.
