Wakiso Giants have been relegated from the Uganda Premier league after suffering a 5-0 defeat against KCCA FC on Saturday at MTN Omondi Stadium.
The Steven Bengo coached side finished the game with ten men after defender Ambrose Arinda was shown marching orders in the second period.
KCCA FC needed goals from Ashraf Mugume, Joao Gabriel, Umar Lutalo, Yan Gatbel and Bright Anukani.
Mugume gave the Lugogo based side the lead in the 20th minute when he converted from the spot after he had been brought down in the forbidden area.
Gabriel doubled their advantage moments later heading home a quality Mugume cross.
Lutalo, substitutes Gatbel and Anukani scored the other three goals for the Jackson Magera coached side in the second period of the game. All the three goals came when the Purple Sharks were a man-less.
Wakiso Giants join Soltilo Bright Stars and Mbale Heroes as the relegated teams this season. KCCA FC on the other hand are now fifth on the Uganda Premier league table with 44 points while Wakiso Giants are third from the bottom on 20 points.
