Maroons FC captain David Ndihabwe has confirmed his departure from the club.

Ndihabwe who returned to Maroons at the start of the 2022/23 season on a two year employment contract.

On Tuesday, 25th June, Ndihabwe confirmed his exit in a letter he wrote to the Luzira based side where he thanked the club management, coaches, fans and teammates

“To Maroons FC, if I write about you today, it is certainly the saddest and most unpleasant business that has ever been my lot to relate. For, I will take my leave of the club at the end of my contract this month. I have no other alternative therefore, than with deep regret express my desire to take on a different challenge.” Ndihabwe noted

The midfielder played for Maroons from 2019 to 2021 before he joined Arua Hill during the 2021/22 season and returned in 2022.

Ndihabwe who has also previously played for Express FC, defunct SC Victoria University and Bugesera in Rwanda.

Maroons is expected to lose majority of their first team players this transfer window as earlier reported by the website.
