Bukedea Comprehensive, JIPRA Storm USSSA Boys’ National Football Semis

Bukedea Comprehensive School and Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) stormed the semifinals of the ongoing USSSA Boys’ National Football championship in Ngora.

Bukedea Comprehensive under the stewardship of Ronald Ssali needed an 9-8 shootout win to overcome Kyaddondo SS in the Quarterfinals.

The two sides had played out to a 1-1 stalemate in normal time with Godfrey Ssekibengo scoring for Teso based Bukedea Comprehensive.

JIPRA stormed the semifinals after a narrow 1-0 win over Mentor in their quarterfinal duel. Richard Okello who skipped the Uganda U-17 team to the World Cup scored the all important goal for JIPRA.

The quarterfinals will resume on Monday with joint record competition winners St Mary’s Secondary School Kitende taking on Kibuli SS. Both Schools are on 11 championships.
