Joint ten-record Stanbic Uganda Cup winners KCCA FC will contest with Vipers SC in this year’s final after overcoming FUFA Big League entity Kataka FC in the Semifinal.
KCCA FC drew with Kataka 1-1 in the return leg fixture on Sunday in Mbale to progress 4-1 on aggregate.
The Jackson Magera coached side thrashed Kataka FC 3-0 in the first leg meeting at Lugogo.
In the return leg, in form forward Joao Gabriel gave KCCA FC the lead just after the recess before Michael Olingazi levelled matters for Kataka in the 65th minute as their adventurous campaign in the competition came to an end.
KCCA FC will now contest Vipers SC in a repeat of the 2018 final on Saturday, 31st May under the lights of Kadiba Stadium.
Uganda Premier league champions Vipers SC eliminated holders Kitara FC in 2-0 on aggregate of the two legged semifinal.
This year’s final meeting will be a repeat of 2018’s showpiece, won by KCCA FC, but only settled by a single Julius Poloto solo magic in Bukedea at that time.
