Asaph Mwebaze set to land Masaza Cup Coaching Role

Former Mbale Heroes head coach Asaph Mwebaze is set to be appointed as Mawogola Ssaza team head coach, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

This website has established that the tactician is close to agreeing a deal with Mawogola ahead of the 2025 prestigious Buganda Masaza Cup competition.

Mwebaze has vast of experience having managed in Uganda Premier league at Maroons, Soltilo Bright Stars, Onduparaka FC and Mbale Heroes

He has also previously worked with Nyamityobora FC and Soccer Shots Houston Texas U17 Academy.

In case the deal materializes, this will be Mwebaze’s first ever Masaza Cup coaching role. Mwebaze has been unemployed since his departure at Mbale Heroes.

Mawogola have never won the event and will be targeting a competitive 2025.

Buddu are the current holders following their 1-0 triumph over Kyaggwe during last year’s Final at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
