Vipers SC President Dr Lawrence Mulindwa has rewarded Vipers SC players and technical with a token of appreciation for delivering the seventh Uganda Premier league title.
The Venoms were officially crowned as the best team in the land on Saturday at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
Vipers finished with 69 points to clinch their seventh league title level with Express FC.
Following their triumph, the Venoms President Dr Lawrence Mulindwa rewarded the team with Shs200m for securing a seventh title.
Vipers are seven time UPL champions level with Express FC, only KCCA FC (13) and SC Villa (17) have more titles than the Kitende based side.
Since their first league title during the 2009/10 season, no side has won more than Vipers SC.
They have won seven league titles coming in 2009/10, 2014/15, 2017/18, 2019/20, 2021/22, 2022/23 and now 2024/25. It all began when they clinched the 2009/10 title.
In that time KCCA FC has managed five league titles while URA FC, Express FC and record league champions SC
Vipers will now be seeking at securing a second domestic double when they face off with KCCA FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup final at FUFA Kadiba Stadium on 31st May, 2025.
Vipers is one of the four teams to have won a double following their triumphs in 2023 the others are SC Villa (1986, 1988, 1989, 1998, 2000 and 2002), Express FC (1995), KCCA FC (2017).
