KAMPALA REGIONAL LEAGUE: CATDA shoots out Ntinda inch closer to Big League promotion

CATDA FC were crowned champions after defeating Ntinda United FC as the Kampala Regional climaxed on Sunday 25th May at MTN Omondi stadium Lugogo.

Ntinda United and CATDA FC played to a full-time goalless draw and the abattoir operators eventually emerged winners after a 4-2 penalty shoot out.

Both Bernard Alijuna and Emmanuel Ssekandi missed from the spot for Ntinda United while Micheal Abura also missed for CATDA FC.

Alex Ssekyanzi of Kazinga Moonlight emerged the league’s top scorer with 14 goals while Abura was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP).

CATDA FC will now face the winner between Kira United and Super Eagles Lugongwe.

Kira United and Super Eagles Lugongwe will face off on Sunday 1st June at Lugazi FC Stadium to determine the champion of the Buganda Regional League.

Kira United topped Sezibwa group with 59 points from 24 games while Super Eagles Lugongwe also topped Katonga Group with 53 points from 23 games.

The winner between CATDA FC (Kampala Regional League champion) and the Buganda Regional League champion will join the FUFA Big League.
