Taddeo Lwanga joins Rwanda’s APR

Rwanda premier league champions APR FC have completed the signing of former SC Villa and Vipers midfieder Taddeo Lwanga.

Lwanga joins APR FC as a free agent on a two year employment contract as earlier reported by this website.

APR FC recently lifted their own ban on signing cross boader players for the first time in 10 years.

Before joining Djibouti side Arta Solar, Lwanga played for Tanzania Giants Simba SC and helped them to a domestic double at the expense of their arch rivals Yanga in 2021.

He scored the all important goal for Simba as they sealed the 2021 Tanzania FA Cup beating Yanga in Final that was held in Kigoma.

He has also previously featured for Express FC and SC Villa before joining Vipers.

After impressing in the 2019 AFCON tournament in Egypt, he was signed by Tanta FC whom he appeared 11 times.

The combative midfielder will add to a growing legion of Ugandan players in Rwanda the likes of Nicholas Sebwato, Joachim Ojera, Robert Mukongotya among others.
