Record Buganda Masaza Cup winners Gomba have part ways with their head coach Frank Mulindwa, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

This website can reliably confirm that Mulindwa has been relieved of his duties at the five time Masaza winners following a disappointing start to the 2024 campaign.

Gomba have lost both of their opening games in Muganzirwaza group, 2-0 against Kyaggwe and their most recent 4-0 defeat away to Ssingo.

Mulindwa replaced Felix Ssekabuza who crossed to Buwekula Ssaza team.

Before joining Gomba, Mulindwa had served at Buwekula for the last three Masaza Cup campaigns and led them to the 2021 final.

Gomba finished as runners up last year after losing 1-0 to Bulemeezi in the final that was played at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

The record competition winners have previously won it in 2004, 2009, 2014, 2017 and 2020.
