Busoga glide past Tooro as Buganda hold defending champions West Nile

Busoga Province registered a 3-1 victory against Tooro Province as defending champions West Nile were held by Busoga in a two all draw at Luo grounds in Nebbi.

Ibrahim Mugulusi, Reagan Kalyowa and Isaac Wagiona were on target each for Busoga Province in a game that was played at St Joseph’s Technical Institute Kamuli.

The consolation goal for visitors Tooro Province was scored by Joseph Ssemujju.

Tooro Province will host the return leg on Sunday 19th November at either Buhinga grounds or St Paul’s Seminary.

West Nile will wait a little longer to register a victory against Buganda Province.

This was the third meeting between both sides, on the previous two meetings Buganda won once(1-0) while the other ended in a one all draw.

Cromwell Rwothomio Abang and defender Joseph Bright Vuni were the goal scorer for West Nile.

Gerald Ogweti and Yasser Mugerwa scored for the innagural winners Buganda.

The return between the two side will be played on Sunday 12th at Kavumba Recreation grounds.
