Kyaggwe have confirmed the appointment of Simon Peter Mugerwa as their head coach for the 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup.
Mugerwa last year served at two time champions Ssingo guiding them to the quarterfinals before being knocked out by his new side Kyaggwe.
He replaces David Mutono Katono who left Kyaggwe for Mawokota Ssaza team.
As a head coach, Mugerwa has previously won the prestigious competition with Bulemeezi (2019) and Busiru (2022). He also won it with Buddu in 2016 serving as Steven Bogere’s assistant.
He will work with Robert Ssekweyama and Bright Nyanzi as his assistants while John Billy Lukoda is the goalkeeping coach.
Leo Ssekamatte is the trainer whereas James Chamali is the fitness coach. Joseph Ssentume and Fredrick Mukiibi will work as the performance analyst and welfare respectively.
