Alex Gitta parts ways with Buganda Regional League side Simba FC

Buganda Regional League side Simba FC have confirmed the departure of head coach Alex Gitta.

Giita leaves Namulonge based entity after six years having joined them in 2018.

The club used their official social media platforms to confirm the coach’s departurer as well as wishing him the very best in his future endeavours,

“‎It’s with a mix of sadness and celebration that we bid farewell to our esteemed Coach Gitta Alex, who has been at the helm of UWA FC (known as Simba FC in the Buganda Region League) since 2018. As he takes on new assignments within the organization, we can’t help but reflect on his remarkable tenure and the indelible mark he’s left on our team.”

“‎Under his guidance, UWA FC has competed valiantly in the Buganda Regional League, showcasing the team’s spirit and determination. Coach Gitta Alex has been instrumental in shaping the team’s strategy, fostering a sense of camaraderie among players, and nurturing young talent.”

“‎His dedication, expertise, and passion for the sport have been invaluable assets to our team. As he embarks on this new chapter, we’re grateful for the memories, lessons, and successes we’ve shared under his leadership.”

Last season Gitta guided Simba FC to the Buganda Regional League promotional play off final which they lost 2-0 to Ntugasaze FC at Lugazi FC Stadium Najjembe.

Under his stewardship this year they made it to the round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup and lost 1-0 to SC Villa.
