Joao Gabriel among seven players set for KCCA FC exit

Uganda Premier league giants KCCA FC are set to lose seven players in this transfer window due to expiration of their employment contracts.

Brazilian forward Joao Gabriel Esteves Cardoso, Usama Arafat, Sadat Anaku, Filbert Obenchan, Umar Lutalo, Etienne Katenga, Musitafa Mujuzi are among the players on the exit door.

Double winning champions Vipers SC are interested in signing Usama and Katenga following the expiration of their contracts at the 13-time league champions.

Lutalo joined the Lugogo based in the January transfer window on a six month employment contract after a short stint at Kitara FC.

KCCA FC had a horrendous 2024/25 campaign finishing 5th in the league and also losing the Uganda Cup final to Vipers SC. They finished 19 points behind UPL champions Vipers.

The Kasasiro boys are expected to appoint a new head coach to replace Jackson Magera Kaddu who has been working as interim coach following the sacking of Abdallah Mubiru.
