Hassan Wasswa and former Vipers Captain Kimuli land Busiro Masaza Cup coaching Roles

Busiro Ssaza team management has appointed their technical staff for the forthcoming Buganda Masaza Cup tournament.

Kiyimba Denis has been named as the head coach for the 2022 Masaza Cup champions and will be assisted by former Uganda Cranes midfielder Hassan Wasswa Mawanda.

Hassan Wasswa is a former KCCA FC, SC Villa and Vipers SC player and featured for the Uganda Cranes for 13-years.

He made 75 appearances for the Cranes and represented the nation at the 2017 and 2019 Africa Cup of Nations before retiring in 2021.

Meanwhile, former Vipers SC captain Robert Kimuli will serve as the trainer at Busiro. Kimuli captained Vipers to their first ever Uganda Premier league title in 2010.

The other members on the technical staff are Richard Lukyamuzi (trainer), Grace Bukenya (goalkeeping coach) and Dr. Ramadhan Batanda as the team doctor.

Busiro last year had their campaign end at the group stage and will be targeting a glorious 2025.

The prestigious event will officially kickoff on Saturday 21st June at Kitovu Sports Arena with holders Buddu facing off with record winners Gomba. They are in Bulange group along with reigning champions Buddu, record winners Gomba, Busujju, Buluuli and Ssese.
