South Sudanese champions Jamus Sports Club have completed the signing of left-back Rashid Okocha on a one year contract.

Okocha’s initial contract with Uganda Premier League side NEC FC ran out and he opted for a move to South Sudan, a country he also represents on the international level.

The roving left-back enjoyed a stellar season at NEC FC in his first year with the club but had playing time hard to come his way in his final year.

Okocha who previously played for Onduparaka FC and Nebbi Central, is expected to add steel and competition in Jamus SC defense ahead of their debut CAF Champions League campaign.

Last year, Okocha made a bold decision to play for South Sudan instead of Uganda and has since then been a mainstay in the South Sudanese team selection.

Jamus Sports Club have already signed former KCCA FC and Express FC defender Hassan Wasswa Dazo on a two year contract from Kator FC Juba.
