Uganda Premier league giants SC Villa will part ways with experienced goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige this transfer window.

Kibirige’s time at SC Villa appears set to end in June with the club not prepared to offer him a contract extension.

The 17-time league champions are not expected to renew Kibirige’s stay beyond this month, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

Kibirige has spent five years at SC Villa since joining the club in 2020 from now defunct Tooro United. He has also previously featured for Vipers SC and was also captain of the National Beach soccer team.

At SC Villa, he served as captain following the departure of Asuman Alishe before being replaced by Gift Fred. He won the 2023/24 league title with SC Villa.

SC Villa have already lost their captain Ronald Ssekiganda who joined APR FC while Patrick Jonah Kakande is also expected to leave the club this window.
